 Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Discovery Call is a free 15-minute conversation to determine whether an evaluation is the right next step for your child. The Evaluation Intake Appointment is a comprehensive 60-minute session where we review your child’s history, discuss current concerns in detail, and identify the most appropriate evaluation type. The intake fee is applied toward the final evaluation cost.

  • Most evaluations are completed within 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the type of assessment, school collaboration needs, and the speed at which parents provide required forms. This timeline includes testing sessions, scoring, analysis, a written report, and a personalized feedback session.

  • Yes. I am a licensed School Psychologist in Florida and I also practice full-time within the school district, which means I have a comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal policies and guidelines. All of the measures used in my evaluations are accepted and considered by school teams. While schools make final eligibility decisions, the report provides clear data, interpretation, and recommendations that support the team in understanding your child’s needs.

  • Each evaluation includes testing sessions, scoring and analysis, a comprehensive written report, a 60-minute parent feedback session, and tailored recommendations for home, school, and the community. Any intake fees paid are credited toward the final evaluation price. Additional support such as School Meeting Preparation or Parent Coaching can be scheduled separately.

  • During the Evaluation Intake Appointment, we review your child’s history, current concerns, and past data to determine the most appropriate evaluation. I will guide you through the options and explain why a specific evaluation aligns with your child’s presenting needs. Parents never have to guess which assessment is necessary.

  • Previous evaluations are always helpful and are reviewed carefully. They provide insight into what has already been explored, what questions remain, and how your child has progressed over time. My evaluation will build on existing information and fill in gaps so you have a complete, up-to-date understanding of your child’s learning and development.

  • After testing and analysis are finished, we schedule a Parent Feedback Session to review the results in a clear and supportive way. You receive a comprehensive written report and a tailored plan with actionable recommendations for home, school, and the community. You also have the option to schedule School Meeting Preparation or Parent Coaching sessions if you want continued guidance.

  • Yes. Families who prefer to pay over time can use the approved payment plan providers available at checkout, including Klarna and another installment option supported through the platform. These services allow you to break the evaluation fee into manageable payments. All payment arrangements must be completed prior to the testing date to secure your appointment.

  • No. Psychoeducational evaluations are typically not covered by insurance because they are considered educational services rather than medical treatment. Insurance companies often require a medical diagnosis and a clear medical necessity, and many do not reimburse for assessments that focus on learning differences, attention concerns, academic functioning, giftedness, or school-related planning. In addition, insurance plans may restrict the type of testing, the length of testing sessions, the tools used, and the scope of the report. These limitations can prevent a comprehensive and accurate evaluation. By operating privately, I am able to provide a thorough, individualized assessment that meets the highest professional standards without restrictions on time, measures, or recommendations.
